TN MADE was an intensive two day collaborative design effort for the University of Tennessee’s Research, Innovation, and Economic Development team to garner energy around designing a new interior for a research lab in Oak Ridge, TN. Four teams of faculty + students were chosen by the Dean of the School of Architecture to design a proposal for the space.

BLOOM is a project that seeks to bring the beauty of East Tennessee into an existing warehouse for TN MADE, a manufacturing and economic development facility for the University of Tennessee.

The adaptive interior garden utilizes innovative technologies to provide a sustainable and dynamic environment for a variety of plants + occupants, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the facility and improving the air quality for its occupants.

BLOOM serves as a symbol of the University’s commitment to environmental sustainability and economic development, showcasing the potential for innovative solutions in modern manufacturing facilities in Tennessee.
